Tiny Mott, North Dakota, aims for world record with massive New Year's Eve fireworks show.

On New Year's Eve, Mott, North Dakota, a town with fewer than 700 residents, will attempt to set a world record for the largest simultaneous fireworks launch. Organized by pyrotechnic expert Garrison Risner, the family-friendly event at Hettinger County fairgrounds will feature a 13-minute fireworks display, food, drinks, live music, and a "kid zone." The fireworks, six times larger than previous attempts, will be synchronized with a soundtrack. The event, running from 3 PM to midnight, is expected to attract over 3,000 people.
