Pigeon Lake Santa's Elves, a community initiative started in 1996 by Gilane Porter after noticing struggling families, provided gifts for 165 children and 80 hampers to families in need this Christmas. The program, now in its 26th year, involves local volunteers, churches, and schools. This year, they gathered at the Ma-Me-O Community Hall to wrap gifts and prepare meals before the holiday.
