Two Nigerian protesters deny their leader was tortured, crediting a DSS review for their release.

Two released protesters from Nigeria's EndBadGovernance demonstrations in Kaduna have denied claims that their leader, Khalid Aminu, was tortured in custody. Dahiru Hamza and Abdullahi Isa stated they were treated fairly during their detention and did not witness any mistreatment of Aminu. They attribute their release to the intervention of the new Department of State Security (DSS) Director General, who ordered a review of their cases.
