A semi-truck fire near Auburn, Maine, closed part of the Maine Turnpike early Monday morning.
A semi-truck caught fire early Monday morning on the Maine Turnpike near Auburn, around 3:45 a.m. The fire started in a tire of a 2018 Kenworth trailer being towed by a Peterbilt 567. The driver, Bradley Miller, successfully detached the trailer before it was destroyed, avoiding injury and leaving his tow truck undamaged. Traffic was limited to one lane for several hours but was later fully reopened.
