A mistrial has been declared in the murder case of 3-year-old Makinzlee Handrahan in Edgecomb, Maine. Tyler Witham-Jordan, accused of her murder, was charged with depraved indifference murder after her death on Christmas 2022. Prosecutors presented evidence including DNA found in the girl's diaper and under her fingernails. The trial was halted when Makinzlee's mother, Faith Lewis, reacted emotionally to photos of her daughter's body. A second trial is expected in the spring.
