A runner died after completing the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, which set a new participation record.

A participant in the Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon 2024 passed away after finishing the race, with immediate medical attention provided on-site. The event saw a record 55,000 runners, including 13,000 from 84 countries, marking a 33% increase from the previous year. Soh Rui Yong won the men's national championship, and the marathon also raised funds for the Futuremakers youth empowerment program.
