Scottish Labour won the Kilpatrick by-election in West Dunbartonshire, securing a seat on the local council. The by-election was held after incumbent Douglas McAllister resigned to become MP for West Dunbartonshire. With a low 19.2% voter turnout, Labour's William Rooney took the lead, followed by the SNP and Reform UK. Despite the win, polling expert John Curtice noted a 13.4% drop in Labour's support since 2022.
