A suspicious fire destroyed Melbourne's LUX Nightclub on Chapel Street early Thursday morning. About 50 firefighters and 15 trucks responded, containing the blaze within two hours; no injuries were reported as the club was closed. The first-floor bar and roof were severely damaged, with adjacent businesses also affected. Part of Chapel Street remains closed for structural reasons. An arson chemist will investigate, and police are checking for links to recent incidents.
