Republican Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer, who lost her re-election bid, is being considered for the U.S. Labor Secretary role in President-elect Trump's administration. Chavez-DeRemer has strong labor support, including from the Teamsters union, and has received backing from Teamsters President Sean O'Brien. She is one of few Republicans to support the PRO Act, a Democratic priority aimed at strengthening labor rights.
