During Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's state visit to Nigeria, both countries reaffirmed their commitment to a strong strategic partnership, focusing on economic development, defense, healthcare, and food security. They agreed to enhance collaboration in counterterrorism, maritime security, and intelligence sharing, including joint anti-piracy operations in the Gulf of Guinea. India, Nigeria's largest trading partner, also pledged support for Nigeria's infrastructure and energy sectors through technical expertise and concessional loans.
