Himachal Pradesh High Court orders attachment of state building over Rs 150 crore electricity debt.

The Himachal Pradesh High Court has ordered the attachment of Himachal Bhawan in Delhi due to the state government's failure to pay electricity dues of Rs 64 crore, now totaling Rs 150 crore with interest. The BJP has criticized the Congress-led Sukhu government, accusing them of financial mismanagement. Former Chief Minister Jairam Thakur added that the situation reflects the government's inability to manage finances and could worsen, potentially leading to the auction of the secretariat. The Advocate General termed the attachment a routine procedure. The court has given the state until December 6 to respond.
