HBO is developing a 7-season Harry Potter series, expanding on J.K. Rowling's books and set to begin production in 2025.
Warner Bros. TV Group's CEO Channing Dungey announced that the upcoming HBO series based on J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter will provide a more comprehensive exploration of the books than the films. The series, expected to span seven seasons, aims to include more character development and storylines, with casting calls currently underway in the UK and Ireland. Production is set to begin in 2025, with a potential release in late 2026 or 2027.
