Paula Blades from Calvert City initiated a collection drive for animal supplies after seeing a post about a stranded horse during Hurricane Helene. She has gathered 25 hay bales and is seeking donations of water, feed, and veterinary supplies for larger animals. The items will go to Fleet of Angels in North Carolina. Additionally, Florida Equine Disaster Response is accepting donations for horses affected by the hurricane in Marion, Levy, and Lake counties.
