The Indian government has established new guidelines for exporting halal meat to 15 countries, effective October 16. Halal certification will be required from the India Conformity Assessment Scheme (I-CAS), overseen by the Quality Council of India. This initiative aims to enhance the halal certification process amid a global halal food market projected to grow from $1.97 trillion to $3.9 trillion by 2027. Notably, major importing countries include the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
