On October 11, Ottawa police arrested a 26-year-old man for a series of assaults on public transit, injuring four individuals. The suspect, who allegedly made hate-filled comments during the incidents, was charged with two counts of assault and two counts of assault with a weapon. The assaults occurred between Algonquin College and Tunney's Pasture stations. Police responded to the first report around 10:50 a.m. No details about the victims or the comments have been disclosed.
