Mars Wrigley has appointed McCaffery Interests Inc. to redevelop its historic 20-acre candy factory site in Chicago's Galewood neighborhood, known as the birthplace of Snickers and Three Musketeers. The project will preserve the landmark building and may include senior housing, townhomes, a wildlife habitat, renewable energy, and community spaces. Manufacturing at the site will cease this year, pending city rezoning and community input.
