Avalon Bourne, a Shoalhaven resident and recent master’s graduate, has received a Churchill Fellowship to address climate anxiety among young Australians. She plans to visit six regions to study various strategies for managing climate-related distress. With her background in mental health through her initiative Sonder Youth, Bourne aims to develop effective resources and support systems to help youth cope with the emotional impacts of climate change.
