Houston police officer shot during home invasion response, two suspects in custody.

A Houston police officer was shot while responding to a home invasion in the Spring Branch area on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 10 a.m. when two men forced entry into a home. The officer was shot in the lower body but is in stable condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital. Two suspects are in custody, while a search continues for a third individual. Houston Mayor John Whitmire praised the first responders for their bravery.
