K1 Investment acquires delisted MariaDB, appoints Rohit de Souza as CEO for product innovation.

K1 Investment Management has acquired MariaDB, a database company that struggled post-IPO and has now been delisted from the NYSE. The acquisition aims to rejuvenate the company's product innovation and meet market demands. Rohit de Souza, formerly of Micro Focus, HP, and Oracle, has been appointed as the new CEO. MariaDB, originally a fork of MySQL, serves major clients including the U.S. Department of Defense and Deutsche Bank.
