Bangladesh has paid $1.37 billion to the Asian Clearing Union (ACU), boosting its foreign exchange reserves to $19.46 billion. The ACU facilitates intra-regional transactions among nine member countries, including Bangladesh and India. This payment is part of a bimonthly cycle, which typically reduces reserves. The country is currently under an interim government led by Muhammad Yunus after the previous government fell on August 5.
