Solaris Resources files 3,000-page EIA for Warintza copper-gold project in Ecuador, aims for technical approval by mid-2025.

Solaris Resources, a Canadian mining firm, has filed a 3,000-page Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for its Warintza copper-gold project in southeastern Ecuador. The EIA, which complies with Ecuadorean regulations and international sustainability standards, is crucial for the project's permitting, with technical approval expected by mid-2025. Solaris has invested over $170 million, primarily using local supply chains, and the project currently provides over 500 jobs in the region.
