A recent study presented at the European Society of Cardiology annual meeting suggests that women's cardiovascular disease risks should be assessed in their 30s, rather than post-menopause. The research, involving nearly 28,000 participants, indicates that blood tests measuring LDL cholesterol, high-sensitivity C-reactive protein, and lipoprotein(a) can predict heart disease risks for the next three decades. This could lead to earlier preventive treatments and updated clinical guidelines.
