Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn's offer for a welterweight unification fight was rejected by Brian Norman Jr's team.

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn's attempt to arrange a welterweight unification fight between IBF champion Jaron 'Boots' Ennis and WBO champion Brian Norman Jr has been unsuccessful. Norman Jr's team rejected a $1.5m offer from Hearn, instead intending to fight Derrieck Cuevas, currently ranked seventh in the WBO. Hearn's inability to negotiate deals with other welterweight champions raises concerns about his ability to help Ennis become the undisputed champ.
