27-year-old Sebastopol man, Stephen Moore, faces charges after an alleged drink-driving incident in St Arnaud on Jan 28, 2024. His car, unregistered and driven without a license, failed to give way at an intersection, causing a crash that sent an elderly woman's car into a historical fire station. She suffered severe injuries, including a broken back, neck, and sternum. Moore's blood alcohol reading was 0.056. He is also wanted for thefts in the Ballarat area. Magistrate Letizia Torres granted Moore bail, with conditions including a 6am-9pm curfew and a return to court on September 16.
