On 25 August, Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif condemned a terrorist attack in Balochistan's Musakhel area, where 23 passengers were killed. Both leaders expressed deep sorrow, prayed for the deceased, and pledged to apprehend the culprits. They reaffirmed Pakistan's commitment to eradicating terrorism. Balochistan Governor Jaffar Khan Mandokhail and other officials also condemned the incident, urging authorities to find the perpetrators.
