The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv has warned of increased risk of Russian missile and drone strikes in Ukraine ahead of Independence Day on August 24th, as tensions rise following Ukraine's incursion into the Russian region of Kursk. Ukrainian forces have captured more than 90 settlements along the border, while Russia claims its forces captured a village in Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region. Both sides are preparing for potential attacks.
