3 Zimbabwean miners convicted of lesser assault charge, acquitted of murder, over missing $165.

Three Zimbabwean artisanal miners, Lovemore Musauki, his son Naison, and friend Ellin Joe, were convicted of a lesser assault charge after one of them killed a fellow miner with an axe over missing $165. The High Court judge, Justice Esther Muremba, acquitted them of murder, ruling they were unaware of the fatal incident, and sentenced them to two months' imprisonment, suspended for five years on condition they do not commit similar offenses.
