Delaware Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long's office staff reportedly engaged in campaign-related activities during office hours.

Delaware Lt. Gov. Bethany Hall-Long's office staff reportedly engaged in campaign-related activities during office hours, according to emails obtained through a Freedom of Information Act request. The staff was in regular communication with Hall-Long's husband and other individuals involved in her campaign for governor, working on matters not relevant to her official role as lieutenant governor, such as renewing memberships in women's groups and making donations to community groups. Under Delaware law, state employees are prohibited from engaging in political activity during work hours, but Hall-Long's office staff is not exempt.
