Mayfair Lab Elementary School in Baton Rouge closed temporarily on August 13 due to a circuit breaker issue causing air conditioning and electrical outages in K-5 classrooms, with repairs planned for reopening on August 14. Middle school students were unaffected and had a regular school day. Extended day and after-school services on Monday and Tuesday were cancelled.
