Researchers at UC San Diego found neuron synchronization during reading, revealing insights into brain information processing.
Researchers at UC San Diego School of Medicine discovered neuron synchronization, called "co-rippling," across the human brain during reading, revealing insights into information processing and integration. The study, using intracranial electroencephalography scanning, observed 13 patients with drug-resistant epilepsy. This synchronization may aid in treating neurological and psychiatric disorders, including schizophrenia, and expand understanding of the link between brain function and human experience.
