Guerilla marketing campaign in NYC uses lifelike facehugger replicas for the upcoming film "Alien: Romulus".

New Yorkers have been surprised by a guerilla marketing campaign for the upcoming film "Alien: Romulus", featuring people in public places appearing to be attacked by facehuggers, a well-known alien parasite from the Alien franchise. The campaign is reminiscent of another by 20th Century Studios, the division of Disney that is producing the film, for the movie "Kingdom of the Planet of the Apes". The tactic includes lifelike facehugger replicas placed on the faces of actors in various locations, such as subway stations, taxis, and Times Square.
