Former England cricket captain Andrew Flintoff suffers accident, facial and rib injuries during Top Gear filming, and recovers through cricket in his upcoming documentary.

Former England cricket captain Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff opens up about his life-changing crash during a four-part documentary series titled "Freddie Flintoff's Field of Dreams On Tour." The accident occurred in December 2022 during filming for Top Gear at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, where Flintoff flipped a Morgan Super 3 vehicle at 22 mph without wearing a helmet. The crash left him with facial and rib injuries and resulted in anxiety, nightmares, and flashbacks. Despite the challenges, Flintoff credits cricket with helping him recover, as it allows him to lose himself in the game and feel more vulnerable than he ever has in his life. The documentary, set to air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer on August 13, also features footage of Flintoff in the hospital and seven months after the accident.
