Kenya's Supreme Court dismisses Chelugui family's land acquisition claims against Moi and Rai estates.

Kenya's Supreme Court overturns a Court of Appeal ruling, dismissing claims by the Chelugui family that former President Daniel Moi's estate and businessman Jaswant Rai's estate forcibly acquired their 53-acre land in 1983. The Supreme Court found insufficient evidence to support the claims and noted the delay in pursuing legal redress by the Chelugui family. Consequently, the Moi and Rai families will not have to compensate the Chelugui family for the disputed land.
