UCL study links 19 blood tests to cancer diagnosis for people with stomach issues, increasing urgent cancer referrals by 16%.

Researchers found a link between abnormal results in 19 blood tests and a higher risk of being diagnosed with cancer within a year. If these abnormal results were factored into assessment, there would be a 16% increase in the number of people with undiagnosed cancer receiving urgent referrals, increasing the likelihood of successful cancer treatment.
