Ohio Governor Mike DeWine signed the "Religious Expression Days" Act, allowing up to 3 school days off for religious expression. House Bill 214 permits K-12 students to be absent for religious reasons, including major religious holidays, without those absences counting against their total missed time. Schools are required to adopt a policy that reasonably accommodates students' religious beliefs and practices.
