Baltic countries' electricity generation dropped 21% in June due to reduced renewable sources, leading to a 21% increase in average prices.

Baltic countries' electricity generation fell 21% in June to 1,178 GWh, with Latvia experiencing the largest decline, down 60% at 168 GWh. The drop is attributed to reduced renewable energy sources like wind (down 20%), solar (down 7%), and hydroelectric (down 66%) due to diminished water replenishment. This led to a 21% increase in average electricity prices to 91.64 euros ($99 USD) per MWh.
