Lansing City Council approved the sale of City Hall for $2.8 million to developer Paul Beitler, who plans to turn the 66-year-old building into a hotel. Mayor Andy Schor stated the move will be part of downtown Lansing's transformation, and the sale follows the finalization of the site for the next City Hall. The new City Hall will be on South Grand Avenue, near the main CATA station.
