Colombia's President signs bill to ban bullfighting by 2027, reducing countries where it's legal to seven.

Colombia's President, Gustavo Petro, has signed a bill banning bullfighting in the country by 2027, significantly reducing the number of nations where the tradition remains legal. The bill, approved by Colombia's Congress in May, calls for the government to convert more than a dozen bullrings into cultural and sporting venues. The move leaves only seven countries where bullfighting is still legal: Spain, France, Portugal, Mexico, Venezuela, Ecuador, and Peru.
