67-year-old Geoff Nalder, influential figure in Victoria's grains industry and ex-president of VFF grains group (2007-2009), passed away. Known for tireless work, he led efforts during wheat's deregulation and overturned Victoria's ban on commercial genetically modified canola. First grower board member of Grain Trade Australia and GRDC southern panel member, Nalder is survived by wife Kerry and sons Ben, Ryan, and Simon.
