Researchers convert Styrofoam into conducting polymer PEDOT:PSS, enabling integration into electronic devices.

Researchers from University of Delaware and Argonne National Laboratory have discovered a way to convert Styrofoam into a high-value conducting polymer, PEDOT:PSS. This chemical reaction can integrate improved plastic waste into functional electronic devices such as silicon-based hybrid solar cells and organic electrochemical transistors. The study's findings were published in JACS Au.
