The Justice Department has accused the largest provider of shelters for migrant children in U.S. custody, Southwest Key, of failing to protect minors from "severe and pervasive" sexual abuse in its government-funded facilities. Multiple Southwest Key shelter employees are alleged to have raped, sexually abused, sexually harassed and inappropriately touched children in the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services since at least 2015.
