The combination of heat and humidity can cause heat stress, headaches, dizziness, and nausea, while misconceptions about heat tolerance among certain racial groups disproportionately impact Black, Latino, and other communities of color. The lack of protections and enforcement for these workers highlights the need for better working conditions and safety measures to be implemented.
