Goldman Sachs plans a $2bn Asia Pacific-focused private equity fund, targeting Japan, India, South Korea, and Australia.
Goldman Sachs plans to raise $2bn for its first Asia Pacific-focused private equity fund, targeting investments in Japan, India, South Korea, and Australia, with Japan receiving about half of the capital. The fund aims to deepen the bank's exposure to fast-growing economies amid geopolitical tensions, higher interest rates, and market volatility. Goldman Sachs Asset Management markets the fund to sovereign wealth funds, pension funds, and private investors, aiming for a first close by the fourth quarter.
