120 members of various faiths attended a Muslim prayer gathering at the University of Victoria's Multifaith Centre as a show of solidarity after threats targeting the Islamic faith led to the cancellation of last week's prayers. The threatening notes contained anti-Islamic, anti-Iran, and anti-Palestine messages and prompted concerns over the university's lack of communication and transparency. UVic president Kevin Hall committed to addressing biases and shortcomings in communication and ensuring the university remains a safe place for all members of the community.
