33-year-old snooker player Michael White, convicted for assault, is jailed for three years and removed from the World Snooker Tour and world ranking list by the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA). White, a former world amateur champion and youngest-ever competitive century maker, had his membership ended with immediate effect by the WPBSA, which stated it does not tolerate such behavior. White has the right to appeal the decision within 21 days.
