Fianna Fáil representative calls Dublin public transport routes "corridors of crime," proposes dedicated gardaí and a zero-tolerance policy.
A Fianna Fáil representative has called public transport routes "corridors of crime" in Dublin. This follows a survey of 1,500 constituents, which found 90% supported a 24/7 criminal District Court and over 70% claimed to have witnessed drug dealing and drug use in public. In response, the Fianna Fáil parliamentary party has proposed dedicated gardaí on public transport, a "zero tolerance" policy on anti-social behaviour, and a minimum of 60 minutes of foot or pedal patrol by gardaí on every shift.
