Bloomberg Philanthropies gifts $1B to Johns Hopkins University, making medical school free for most students, covering full tuition for those from families earning less than $300k and living expenses/fees for families earning up to $175k. The gift will also increase financial aid for students at the university's schools of nursing, public health, and other graduate schools.
