287.2M Parkes Bypass project, co-funded by Australian and NSW governments, commences during July school holidays with a 98-meter-diameter roundabout to ease town center traffic.

The Parkes Bypass $287.2M project, co-funded by the Australian ($229.7M) and NSW ($57.5M) governments, will include a 98-metre-diameter roundabout, currently the largest in the Central West. Construction begins during the July school holidays. The roundabout, featuring a centerpiece sculpture designed with Parkes Shire Council, aims to ease heavy traffic flow and reduce the number of vehicles passing through the town center, expected to reach 1200 daily.
