2nd suspect arrested in $100,000 Florence County armory gun theft; charged with burglary, grand larceny, weapon possession, and conspiracy.
2nd suspect, Benjamin Lee Mercer Sr., arrested in over 150 guns theft from Florence County armory. The men are charged with burglary, grand larceny, possession of a weapon, and criminal conspiracy. The Mercers allegedly entered the store by force and stole over $100,000 worth of firearms on May 12. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives assisted in the investigation.
