Ten major US and European banks, including Goldman Sachs, JPMorgan Chase, and BNP Paribas, have agreed to pay $46m to settle an antitrust lawsuit accusing them of conspiring to manipulate the $465.9tn interest rate swap market. The settlement, filed in Manhattan federal court, requires approval by US District Judge Paul Oetken. The banks deny any wrongdoing and claim their aim was to avoid the cost of ongoing litigation.
